Learning With Purpose: Our Vision for 2026–2027
At Toronto STEM School, we believe students should leave school with more than strong grades. They should develop the knowledge, confidence, discipline, and curiosity needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, we remain committed to providing a rigorous and personalized academic experience that places students first. Our small classes allow teachers to know their students well, identify their strengths, address learning gaps, and provide the individual guidance necessary for meaningful growth.
Our academic program continues to combine the Ontario curriculum with expanded Advanced Placement opportunities. This gives students the flexibility to meet provincial graduation requirements while challenging themselves through advanced coursework in mathematics, science, computer science, the humanities, and other subjects. Through AP Seminar and AP Research, students also develop valuable skills in critical thinking, academic writing, collaboration, research, and communication.
STEM education remains central to our identity, but our goal is not simply to teach students how to use technology. We want them to understand how to think, design, investigate, and solve problems. Through robotics, coding, laboratory work, competitions, and project-based learning, students are encouraged to apply their knowledge to real challenges and explore ideas beyond the classroom.
We also recognize that achievement requires more than academic ability. Students must learn to manage their time, accept feedback, overcome setbacks, and take responsibility for their progress. Our role is to support them while maintaining clear expectations. We believe students grow most when they are both encouraged and challenged.
During the 2026–2027 school year, we will continue investing in our programs, learning spaces, resources, and student supports. We will also strengthen the sense of connection within our school community by creating more opportunities for collaboration, leadership, mentorship, and participation.

Mission
Our mission is to consider the individuality of each student to provide the best educational experience. We aim for our students to feel comfortable and build confidence at our school while simultaneously being challenged through dynamic course concepts and materials. We strive to build relationships with our students founded on academic support, approachability, trust and warmth. We want our students to love school as much as we do!
Vision
Our vision is to continuously amplify the quality of education we provide to our students. We do this by actively seeking additional resources and planning educational field trips to bring accessible and inspiring modes of learning inside and outside the classroom. We aim to prove that school can truly be a place of positivity, genuine connection, and fun.
