You can write PSAT at TSS with a small admin fee!

Many schools might not be able to accommodate students for PSAT assessment. TSS welcomes students from other schools in addition to our own students. You may write the following contests and assessments at TSS:

PSAT 10 is only available in Spring. The Fall’s PSAT/NMSQT is the closest alternative.

Next Administration Date: Friday, October 10, 2025 at 9:00 AM

The PSAT 8/9 takes 2 hours and 14 minutes and consists of 2 sections: (1) the Reading and Writing section, and (2) the Math section. Most of the questions are multiple choice, though some of the math questions ask you to type in the answer rather than select it. You should bring your own device to the exam room. If that’s not possible, you may request a device.

On the test day please bring:

  • Laptop/tablet/chromebook fully charged with your charger

  • Pen/pencil

  • Calculator

  • A picture ID (student card, passport, etc.)

  • Water bottle with no stickers attached

  • Snacks (optional)

We WILL provide you with a sign-in ticket and scrap paper. No need to bring any paper of any kind—if you do, it will be taken away!

Doors will open at 8:30 AM. We'll start at 9:00 AM. Students will finish before 11:30 AM.

You need to download Bluebook. A complete guide to the PSAT and using Bluebook is available here. Students are recommended to follow this link to practice.

The fee includes Collegeboard’s exam fee and our administration fees. We will email you your ticket in September (when the Collegeboard releases Bluebook practice exams).
