
AP Courses & Exams at Toronto STEM School
Our AP Courses are delivered live and virtually, providing students with real-time interaction and support from experienced instructors.
Start Dates: Week of October 4, 2025
(AP Bio & Precalculus Start on September 29, 2025)
End Dates: End of April, 2026 (AP Exams are in May 2026)
(students with Ontario Course options finish in June 2026)
All AP Exams are conducted in person at our school:

Enrollment Options:
Students can choose from the following:
a) Enroll in both the AP Course + AP Exam at our school
b) Enroll in the AP Course Only
c) For AP Biology and AP Computer Science, students also have the option to earn an Ontario High School Credit (OSSD) in addition to AP preparation - given they meet the pre-requisite.
d) Enroll in Exam-Only sessions (enrollment opens in a few weeks).

AP Biology Virtual Course
Mondays 5:45 - 8 PM — Starts September 29, 2025
AP Biology is one of the most popular AP courses. “Study the core scientific principles, theories, and processes that govern living organisms and biological systems” with our experienced instructors. Lab materials will be covered using online lab platforms. ** There is also the option of getting SBI4U for this course. Applicants must upload proof of pre-requisite for this course (SBI3U).

AP Precalculus Virtual Course
Mondays 5:45 - 8 PM — Starts September 29, 2025
In AP Precalculus, you’ll explore concepts such as polynomial and exponential functions that can help you calculate your rise to influencer status, and many more concepts related to functions, logarithms, and trigonometry that can be applied beyond the classroom.

AP Computer Science A Virtual Course
Tuesdays 5:45 - 8 PM — Starts October 7, 2025
AP Computer Science A is an introductory college-level computer science course. Students cultivate their understanding of coding through analyzing, writing, and testing code as they explore concepts like modularity, variables, and control structures.

AP Psychology Virtual Course
Tuesdays 5:45 - 8 PM — Starts October 7, 2025
In AP Psychology, you’ll learn the foundational concepts that detail how and why people think and behave the way they do.

AP Calculus AB/BC Virtual Course
Wednesdays 5:45 - 8 PM — Starts October 8, 2025
Prior to taking this course, doing a precalculus course is recommended! You should have successfully completed courses in which you studied algebra, geometry, trigonometry, analytic geometry, and elementary functions. In particular, you should understand the properties of linear, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric, inverse trigonometric, and piecewise-defined functions and know how to graph these functions and solve equations involving them.

AP Computer Science Principles Virtual Course
Wednesdays 5:45 - 8 PM — Starts October 8, 2025
AP Computer Science Principles is an introductory college-level computing course that introduces students to the breadth of the field of computer science. Students learn to design and evaluate solutions and to apply computer science to solve problems through the development of algorithms and programs.

AP Chemistry Virtual Course
Thursdays 5:45 - 8 PM — Starts October 9, 2025
AP Chemistry is an introductory college-level chemistry course. Students cultivate their understanding of chemistry through inquiry-based investigations as they explore topics like atomic and molecular structure, chemical reactions, kinetics, equilibrium, and thermodynamics.

AP English Language and Composition Virtual Course
Thursdays 5:45 - 8 PM — Starts October 9, 2025
In AP English Language and Composition, you’ll read nonfiction texts through the eyes of a writer, exploring the choices writers and speakers make to persuade their audience. By analyzing how writing is composed, you’ll be able to construct your own persuasive pieces.

AP Physics 1 Virtual Course
Saturdays 10:00 AM - 12:15 PM — Starts October 4, 2025
AP Physics 1 is an algebra-based, introductory college-level physics course. Students cultivate their understanding of physics through classroom study, in-class activity, and hands-on, inquiry-based laboratory work as they explore concepts like systems, fields, force interactions, change, and conservation.
