AP Calculus AB Virtual-Live Course (2026-27)
Class Date: Wednesday October 14, 2026 - April 28, 2027
Class Time: 5:45 PM - 8:00 PM on Wednesdays
No class on Winter Break (Dec 23 & Dec 30), March Break (Mar 17)
Minimum Recommended Pre(or Co)-Requisite: MHF4U/MCV4U
AP Calculus AB is a foundational university-level course that introduces students to the core concepts of differential and integral calculus. Designed for students with a strong background in algebra and pre-calculus, this course is delivered through live, interactive online classes that foster engagement, collaboration, and real-time support.
Students will explore limits, derivatives, and definite integrals, building a solid understanding of how these concepts describe change and accumulation. The course emphasizes conceptual understanding alongside procedural fluency, with applications to real-world scenarios such as motion, rates of change, optimization, and area under curves. Students will also study the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus and its role in connecting differentiation and integration.
Our live virtual format allows students to interact directly with experienced instructors, ask questions in real time, and participate in guided problem-solving sessions. Ongoing assessments, targeted practice, and AP-style exams help ensure students are well-prepared for the official AP examination administered by the College Board.
By the end of the course, students will have developed strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, providing a solid foundation for further studies in mathematics, science, engineering, and other STEM-related fields.
The content, assignments, and assessments will be based upon the AP Course and Exam Description available in the AP Classroom website or here.
