AP Business with Personal Finance Virtual-Live Course (2026-27)
Class Date: Thursdays October 15, 2026 - April 29, 2027
Class Time: 5:45 - 8:00 PM on Thursdays
No class on Winter Break (Dec 24 & Dec 31), March Break (Mar 18)
Minimum Recommended Pre(or Co)-Requisite:
In AP Business with Personal Finance, students explore how business and personal finance concepts influence individual, entrepreneurial, and organizational decisions through real-world application, case studies, and project-based learning. The flipped classroom approach involves videos and assignments outside of class, with meeting times focused on discussion via Google Meet. Students complete an entrepreneurial Business Canvas Project, involving work-based learning tasks like product development, customer research, marketing, and financial document preparation.
The course culminates in a Financial Advisor Project where students make recommendations to a fictional household based on their financial profile to support goals related to postsecondary education, home buying, retirement, and charitable giving.
