PSAT/NMSQT
Next Administration Date: Friday, October 10, 2025 at 9:00 AM
The PSAT/NMSQT is the alternative to PSAT 10 (which is only available in Spring). Just like PSAT 10, this exam takes 2 hours and 14 minutes and consists of two sections: (1) the Reading and Writing section, and (2) the Math section. Most of the questions are multiple choice, though some math questions ask you to write in the answer rather than select it. You should bring your own device to the exam room. If that’s not possible for you, it’s possible request a device and arrange for a rental in advance.
On the test day please bring:
Laptop/tablet/Chromebook fully charged with your charger
Pen/pencil
Calculator
A picture ID (student card, passport, etc.)
Water bottle with no stickers attached
Snacks (optional)
We WILL provide you with a sign-in ticket and scrap paper. No need to bring any paper of any kind—if you do, it will be taken away!
Doors will open at 8:30 AM. We'll start at 9:00 AM. Students will finish before 11:30 AM.
You need to download Bluebook. A complete guide to the PSAT and using Bluebook is available here. Students are recommended to follow this link to practice.
The fee includes Collegeboard’s exam fee and our administration fees. We will email you your ticket in September (when the Collegeboard releases Bluebook practice exams).
